William T. Scharnikow is a principal in the firm of Prediletto, Halpin, Scharnikow and Nelson, P.S.. His practice is limited to workers' compensation, social security disability and personal injury.
Mr. Scharnikow joined the firm in 1980 after serving as an Assistant Attorney General, including as lead trial counsel, for over a decade. He has been a frequent presenter at Continuing Legal Education seminars, sharing his experience and knowledge with other attorneys in Washington. He is a past chairman of the Workers' Compensation section of the Washington State Trial Lawyers' Association and has authored articles and perspectives for Trial News.
He is a graduate of the University of Washington (Bachelor of Arts with a major in law) and of the University of Washington School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the Federal District Courts in both Eastern and Western Washington and before the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Scharnikow has represented injured workers in hundreds of cases before Superior Courts in Washington on a wide range of issues under the Industrial Insurance Act.
